Mr. Agarwal joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2003, and he focuses on early stage mobile, internet, and software investments. Prior to Bain Capital Ventures, Mr. Agarwal spent over seven years as a senior executive at Trilogy Software, a privately-held enterprise software company based in Austin, Texas. As head of sales and marketing, he grew Trilogy’s annual revenues to $300 million and led Trilogy’s product expansion into new areas such as enterprise pricing and enterprise incentive management. Prior to Trilogy, Mr. Agarwal was a consultant with the Los Angeles office of McKinsey & Company.

In addition to his firm and portfolio company responsibilities, Mr. Agarwal serves on several community boards including Children’s Hospital Boston Board of Overseers and the National Board of BUILD, a not-for-profit dedicated to helping underprivileged high school students attend college. Mr. Agarwal lives in Newton, Massachusetts with his wife and three daughters.

Mr. Agarwal received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Mr. Agarwal also holds a patent for the “Method and Apparatus of Configuration Solutions.

Mike Baker has been pioneering digital media platforms for 20 years and is a widely recognized thought leader in interactive advertising. Before co-founding DataXu, he was vice president at Nokia, where he created and ran Nokia Interactive. Baker came to Nokia through its acquisition of mobile advertising leader Enpocket in 2007, where he was the founding investor and CEO. Baker was previously a partner at venture capital firm Grand Banks Capital. He has also been executive vice president at CMGI and Engage Technologies, an innovator in online advertising and behavioral targeting. Glenn Broderick is the Executive Director of Gaming in AT&T’s Converged Services organization. In this role, Glenn is responsible for developing AT&T’s strategic and go to market approach to the convergence of gaming across AT&T’s Platforms.

Glenn comes to AT&T with 13 years of video games experience that ranges from producing games editorial to helping launch some of the industry’s biggest brands. Prior to AT&T, Glenn held management positions in Coca-Cola’s interactive marketing group, Blockbuster’s games group, Best Buy’s new business development group, and GT Interactive’s (now Atari) online marketing group. And before all that, he wrote for various and sundry game pubs including the now-deceased Computer Player, Tips & Tricks, ogr.com, gamecenter.com, and Brady Games.

Glenn holds a BA from Green Mountain College and an MA from Sacred Heart University. He lives in San Antonio with his family and a monster home theater he’s affectionately named HAL 10,000. Bucci, Dr. Steven   IBM, Lead for Cyber, Leadership Development Iniative

Dr. Steven P. Bucci presently serves as IBM’s Issue Lead for Cyber, a strategic emphasis that is part of the IBM Global Leadership Initiative, the company “think tank” for IBM Public Sector.  Bucci brings nearly 30 years of leadership at the highest levels of Government in response to ongoing threats to America.  He is a recognized expert in the interagency process, particularly as it involves the defense of U.S. interests domestically, and the productive interplay of key governmental and private sector entities.

Early in his 28-year career in the U.S. Army, Bucci served in various leadership positions in the 82nd Airborne and the 5th Special Forces. Bucci assumed the duties of the Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld on 1 July 2001, and served in that capacity through the attacks on 11 September 2001, and the Global War on Terrorism.  Retired from active duty in the spring of 2005, Bucci stayed to serve as the Staff Director of the Immediate Office of the Secretary, a Presidential appointment to the Senior Executive Service. Bucci next served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Homeland Defense and Defense Support to Civil Authorities Bucci helped lead the DoD’s response to the growing Cyber Security threats facing the U.S.  He acted as the primary civilian oversight of DoD U.S. Northern Command.

Raised in Dobbs Ferry, NY, Bucci graduated from the U. S. Military Academy at West Point in 1977 with a B.S. in National Security and Public Affairs. In 1986 and 1987, respectively, he earned an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina, both in International Relations.  Bucci graduated from the U.S. Army War College, the Hellenic Army War College in Thessaloniki, Greece, and the Department of State Senior Seminar.

Prior to joining FluidHtml, Mr. Collette was CEO of two Boston-based, venture-backed companies. PhyFlex Networks provided a new access network solution for cable systems and was sold to Ciena in 2007. Ucentric Systems pioneered multiroom DVR and was sold to Motorola in 2005.

Mr. Collette also serves on the Board of Gotuit Media, which provides video metadata solutions to video publishers and is an advisor to WorkshopLive, an eLearning company focused on music instruction.

John Considine brings two decades of technology vision and proven experience in complex enterprise system development, integration and product delivery to CloudSwitch. Dr. Larry Cornett is VP of the Yahoo Search consumer products division. In this capacity, he is primarily responsible for the Yahoo web search experience and heads up a multinational team of product managers, designers, and developers focused on creating a world-class search experience.

Prior to this role, Dr. Cornett was a director at eBay, where his team focused on multiple products for the tailored shopping experiences, platform, and international sites. Earlier in his career, he was a designer at Apple Computer, where he worked on the Finder, OS, and international software; and IBM, where he worked on database and development tools. He was also the principal consultant for MindSpan Design, an interaction design agency, where he worked on desktop, web, and mobile solutions for a variety of clients.

Dr. Cornett received his Ph.D. from Rice University, where he designed and developed a coaching system for training software users. He holds multiple patents, which include design work on web-based products and hardware solutions.

Jim Curry is the VP of Corporate Development at Rackspace, the world’s leader in hosting. Jim also manages strategic product partner alliances for Rackspace, particularly in the areas of cloud computing and applications. Prior to Rackspace, Jim spent 15 years in the IT and financial services sector in various new product incubation, corporate development and investing roles. Most recently, Jim was a senior leader on Dell’s corporate development team. Jim has also held leadership positions with several other technology startups including Bowstreet and Tivoli, both acquired by IBM. He also was an investment banker with Goldman Sachs and spent several years as a private equity investor. As Head of Display Sales based out of Google’s Cambridge, MA offices, Brian oversees Google’s Display advertising team partnerships across the U.S. for Retail partners and for all display efforts in Canada. Prior to joining Google, Brian worked as a Regional Sales Director for AOL, where he was tasked with managing the New England team and building relationships with New England partners. He has also been Vice-President of Sales for IMakeNews and Newmediary, both of which contributed to his firm grasp of the online sales and marketing arena.

Nick d’Arbeloff is a veteran entrepreneur, having held senior positions in a number of technology companies and start-ups over the past 20 years.

Before joining the Council, he was the CEO and founder of Conjoin, a developer of sales productivity software for corporate sales teams. The company was acquired by Intranets.com (subsequently acquired by WebEx).  Previously, Nick co-founded and served as VP Marketing for Wildfire Communications, which brought to market a voice recognition-based electronic assistant for managing all of an individual’s telephone activities. Wildfire was acquired by Orange PLC, now a subsidiary of France Telecom.  Nick also served as Vice President of Marketing for C-bridge Internet Solutions, Director of Marketing for PRI Automation, and Product Manager for Apollo Computer.

Nick is a representative of The Climate Project, trained by former Vice President Al Gore to educate audiences about the science underlying global climate change. He serves on the Board of the Carlisle Conservation Foundation and the Mass Audubon Council. He is also the author of Excessive Entanglement, a novel, published in 2008. Jim has had over twenty years of high technology experience in wireless computing, mobile devices, and software development. He joined Motorola in 1985 and built a career at the cutting edge of wireless technology.  In the 80’s, he helped pioneer wireless data applications in vertical markets.  In the early 90’s, he helped start he promoted the concept of data communications over public networks, like cellular.  In 1995, he left Motorola to become VP of marketing and sales for Illinois Superconductor.  In the latter 90’s he returned to Motorola to drive several internal startups and led the enterprise email and messaging business within the Mobile Device Business.

For the last seven years, Jim has been a Senior Director in Motorola’s corporate software development organization. Jim has led several software organizations, managed a revamp of software purchasing and a reorganization of how software was developed at Motorola. 

In the last year before leaving Motorola, Jim led the software tools organization, which he spun off under independent management and for whom he is currently engaged as a consultant.  Jim has a degree in Mathematics from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Dave Dickman serves as Senior Vice President, Digital Media Sales, at the Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG). An industry leader whose media management experience spans over 20 years and several continents, Dickman joined the Studio in September 2009 and spearheads WBTVG’s domestic digital media sales efforts. In his career, Dickman has developed and overseen sales teams in the Internet arena, spot TV, barter syndication, cable TV and affiliate sales and marketing.

In his current position, he is charged with generating revenue from Warner Bros. Entertainment’s expansive portfolio of advertiser-supported digital assets and ventures, including the Studio’s digital entertainment destinations and content from WBTVG’s television production arms, as well as digital unit Studio 2.0 and Warner Premiere. Dickman is also responsible for developing and presenting integrated marketing and branded entertainment opportunities to key advertisers across all projects from these ventures, allowing marketers to associate with the Studio’s top creative talent and content in a targeted, premium environment.

Nat Findlay is the founder and CEO of Myca Health. Charles Forman is founder of OMGPOP. OMGPOP (formerly i’minlikewithyou or iilwy) is a casual online multiplayer gaming website built entirely in Flash. The Company started in 2006 as iminlikewithyou, a place for people to play games to meet each other and in 2009 changed its name to the shorter OMGPOP.  OMGPOP states on its homepage that it is “a place to hang out, play free online multiplayer games, chat and make friends”

OMGPOP is funded by Spark Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Baseline Ventures and Betaworks, as well as angel investors including Ron Conway, Kevin Rose and Marc Andreessen. OMGPOP is on Time Magazine’s 50 Best Websites of 2009. The OMGPOP team is based in Soho, in New York City.

Andrew Friendly joined ATV in 2007 and focuses on investments in clean technology companies in the firm’s Waltham, MA office. Daniel Goldman brings 20 years of energy industry experience in strategy, corporate and project finance, project development as well as private equity and early stage venture capital investing. Currently, he is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GreatPoint Energy, Inc., a company backed by leading venture capital firms such as Kleiner Perkins and strategic investors such as Dow Chemical. Mr. Goldman also co-founded and serves as Managing Partner of Clean Energy Venture Group, a collaboration of energy industry executives making early stage clean tech investments and actively mentoring the companies. He serves on the Board of Directors of several companies and has been actively involved in efforts to bring together the investment community, environmental groups and policy makers to promote investment in the sector. Mr. Goldman received a B.S. from Cornell and a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and he serves on Cornell University’s undergraduate Business Advisory Council. Jack has also worked as a consultant at Bain & Company. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in math and economics.

Tom Jasny, VP, Wireless Broadband and Convergence Solutions, joined Samsung Telecommunications in April 2005, to lead Samsung’s Wireless and Broadband Networks efforts in the US.  Tom has 24 years of technology experience, including wireline, broadband, and wireless infrastructure and device business. Tom led the Mobile WiMAX effort resulting in Samsung’s selection as primary supplier for the Sprint/Clearwire 4G network.  Tom also helped launch multiple new products in the US, including Samsung’s industry-first CDMA femtocell product with Sprint and Verizon.  In 2009, Tom added Convergence Business Development activities to his responsibilities, an initiative to connect, share content, and share user experience across Samsung’s consumer electronics and telecommunications device portfolio. 

He has held various leadership positions within Nortel Networks, Siemens, and VocalData.  In 1993 when he assumed VP responsibilities for Nortel Sales and Customer Services organization, designing and building a total sales organization including customer and supplier contracts, marketing operations, program management, installation and field service.  In 1995 he assumed the role of VP, Sales and Service for Siemens Wireless Terminals.  For the next three years Jasny led an organization that sold GSM and CDMA handsets to North American and Asian operators.  In 1998 Jasny was recruited back to Nortel where he assumed P&L responsibility for all Nortel product and account activities for the Sprint PCS national network; later on, he assumed P&L responsibility for all Nortel product lines sold to the major national and regional emerging wireless carriers.

McKeon, Matt   Developer, IBM

Matt McKeon is a developer with the Visual Communication Lab at IBM. His goal is to enable everyone to easily communicate about data using rich interactive visualization, turning analysisinto a collective effort. His lab’s flagship project, Many Eyes, is a popular public website that enables anyone to upload a dataset, quickly create an attractive and useful visualization, discuss it, and share it across the web. Many Eyes visualizations have been featured in top websites, blogs, newspapers, and academic journals.

Prior to IBM, Matt joined a startup company called MAYA Viz (now owned by GeneralDynamics) with a mission to revolutionize how people work with data. He was one of the developers of CoMotion, a collaborative visualization and analytics platform currently in use by the US Army in Iraq, Afghanistan and the United States. In Baghdad in 2004, he witnessed firsthand how insight frequently came not just from advanced analytic tools, but from getting the right group of people to use those tools in a conversation. Matt holds an MS in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech.

Previously, Vic was a senior vice president of global marketing for Avocent, the world leader in datacenter management products. He was founder and CEO of PixelVision in 1991, a pioneer in flat-panel monitor technology whose products still populate the NYSE trading floor. PixelVision was acquired by Avocent in 1999. Prior to PixelVision, Vic served in senior engineering leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, Apollo Computer, and DEC. Now more than 300 clients use the SCVNGR platform for location-based games and tours. It’s popular with colleges running orientation activities, museums creating custom tours, and cities coordinating large-scale games to promote tourism (several have based hunts around hidden diamond rings). Clients pay anywhere from $500 a month for a small museum license to a one-time fee of $25,000 to run an intricate corporate event. SCVNGR has 15 full-time employees and is hiring fast. Bethesda has also created over 75 other hit titles, including Gridiron; Wayne Gretzky Hockey; The Terminator, Burnout Drag Racing, NCAA Basketball, and The Elder Scrolls — one of the best-selling role-playing series in the history of computer games. Last year the company released Fallout 3 and earlier this year acquired id Software.

Chris received his SM in Engineering from MIT and was the initial Daltry Scholar at Wesleyan University, where he earned dual Masters Degrees in Japanese and Computer Science and a dual CAS Doctoral Degree in Japanese and Physics. An author and advisor to government and industry, he holds patents in interactive media, system security and broadband communications.

A former member of the Architecture Machine Group and Fellow of the MIT Communications and Policy Program, Weaver was a Fellow of the Robotics Simulation Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon and currently teaches at MIT in the Comparative Media Studies program and as a Senior Fellow in Engineering. He is a Board Member of the MIT Communications Technology Roadmap group and a Visiting Scientist in the Microphotonics Center. In 2005, he was inducted into the Cosmos Club for excellence in engineering.
